A great Man we'll surely miss

CNN's Glenn Beck's Tribute to the late LDS President Gordon B. Hinckley

What a vacation...

On Sunday Emery was blessed. She is so lovely!! We also met a new addition to the family. Boston Cash, What a cute baby.

We had a great time on our trip. Thank you all for coming to JT's birthday. Grandpa and Grandma are going to Florida this week for a 10 day vacation. Before heading back to CA, we stopped by Jeff and Nana's and Greg and Annalou's to say goodbye.

Paul and Jeff and our very DIRTY TRUCK!!!

As we drove back home to CA, we were expecting more rain and all we got was wind and sand.

More Birthday Fun Activities

Here are more pics from our Idaho trip. We went to this huge Hill after JT's Scooby Doo Party and enjoyed sledding, snowboarding and snowmobiling.

The "HILL"

JT loves sledding so much, he walked up the hill at least ten times instead of waiting for the
snowmobile.

Solve a Mystery Party

JT had a fun Birthday Party on Saturday. He had a Scooby Doo themed Party with his cousins and friends. Paul wrote a Mini Scooby Doo Mystery Skit for the party. JT, Jacob and their cousins had a Fantastic Time!! Here it is....

As the guests arrived they placed their gifts on a table in the living room. Then they sat down for a lunch of pizza, lemonade and crazy bread. As lunch was just about over, Grandma asked JT to show him where the gifts were.

As they entered the living room, the Snow Phantom surprised them as he was stealing all of the gifts wrapped in a sheet. The Phantom was dressed in a snowsuit, and wore a mask with blue hair. He gave Grandma and J.T. quite a start as he cackled menacingly and ran out the front door with all of the birthday presents. Everyone saw the masked Phantom run through the snow and around the house where he disappeared. The kids were all pretty excited at this point and didn't know what was happening.

Someone suggested that the kids should look for clues, and they found this short rhyme:

The scary Snow Phantom has created a mystery
We better find the gifts or this party is history
We can only hope that it didn’t go far
Look for a clue where you park the car

The kids all ran to the garage where they found the snowsuit and blue wig on the floor. Someone had changed out of the disguise and was hiding among the party guests. Who could it be and where were the gifts? They found the next clue with the disguise:

The Snow Phantom is fast, did you see that thing run
Whoever it was, must work out for fun
To find the next clue, right on the dot
In this house you must find the exercise spot

Everyone ran downstairs to Aunt Brenda's treadmill. There they found a clue that told them to take a break and play "Pin the collar on Scooby Doo"

Solving a mystery is never too easy
Even if the clues are really quite cheesy
Who is the phantom, what is its name
Let’s take a break and play a fun game

After playing the game, the kids found the next clue hiding behind Scooby Doo:

We think the Snow Phantom is still in the house
Sneaking around as quiet as a mouse
Where is the Phantom and why is he bad
J.T. wants his presents, or he will feel sad

We need to find out the Snow Phantom’s name
Could it be our Aunt Becky, she likes to play games?
Or poor uncle Troy, who doesn’t like toys
Or J.T.’s dad, playing a trick on his boys

The next clue is hiding somewhere quite yummy
We hope you can find it on a full tummy
It’s up in a place where cooks love to bake
Let’s go find the clue and then have some cake

The kids then ran back upstairs to find a clue under the birthday cake:

The Snow Phantom happens to be one of these three
Paul, Troy or Becky, but which could it be
Now the last clue, we’ve had enough of this babble
The Phantom is upstairs and likes to play scrabble

The kids ran to the stairs where they found a trail of scrabble tiles leading to Uncle Troy's bedroom where he had the toys stashed on his bed.

Troy confessed and admitted, he wanted all the toys for himself, and said “And I would have gotten away with it, if it wasn’t for you meddling kids.

The kids all had a great time acting out their favorite mystery solving characters from Scooby Doo.

Ice...Ice...Baby

We got to Grandma and Grandpa's and we could not see their house! It was covered with snow.

We got to my BIL and SIL's house in ID and the boys were so excited to see their cousins! They got out of the truck, put on snow boots and snow pants and went sledding behind their house.

It was crazy fun!! JT and Jake and their cousins surely enjoyed sledding, making snow angels and the highlight, we saw 3 deer about 50 yards from where we were.

Road Trip

We started our "Road Trip" last Wednesday, to celebrate JT's Birthday in ID and also to attend EJ and Danielle's Baby Emery's blessing in UT. We left L.A. on Wed. and hit a lot of traffic, it was raining in LA, it was snowing in the Cajon Pass. It took us 6 hours to get to Vegas where we stayed the night.

We woke up the next day and it was a beautiful day driving around the Canyons. Jake said "It's like Radiator Springs from Cars". The boys loved that movie so much and they watched it 2x during our trip to UT. As we passed Southern UT it started to snow again, then a blizzard came.

We stopped by to see our friends Jeff and Nana. They opened their beautiful new home and we had yummy dinner with our friends Greg and Annalou.

The food
and dessert was so GOOD. The kids had fun playing, and running around. It is so cute to see all of them play. All 3 Moms enjoyed talking, laughing and of course eating yummy desserts. They were so nice to feed and entertain us on a school night! Thank you guys so much.

Breakfast for Dinner

Jake cannot wait to eat the strawberries

Going to Trader Joe's is always a fun family errand. Everything at that store is GREAT!!! So we went for our weekend shopping. When we were there we could not decide what we're going to have for dinner. Paul grabbed waffles and he suggested that we have Breakfast for Dinner(B for D). The boys jumped for joy, cuz BREAKFAST is their favorite meal of the DAY. Of course Breakfast American Style. In the Philippines we eat rice for breakfast. Anyway, we had waffles with strawberries, veggie sausage links, eggs, O.J, Milk. It was so good. It has been awhile since we had B for D.

Little Gym

Jacob had a great day today. One of his friends from school, Luc celebrated his birthday at Little Gym. They had a blast! They jumped, walked on the balance beam, played with Mr. Fox, hula hoop game, ran, laughed, run some more and jumped some more. Jacob had a blast that this is his FIRST BIRTHDAY PARTY from one of his classmates from school and of course accdg to his teacher Jacob and Luc are INSEPARABLE.

Jake surely enjoyed

Could She?

The last candidate in Philly who sang on American Idol tonight was Brooke White. She's from Meza, AZ and now resides in Van Nuys, CA. She is a nanny for 1 yr old twins. Anyways when Simon Cowell asked her, what is very interesting about her. She said:
  • She has never watched an R-Rated movie
  • She doesn't drink
  • She doesn't smoke
  • She's married but no kids yet
Could she be LDS? Anyway, she sang one of my favorite Artists - Corinne Bailey Rae and sang Like a Star. And she sang really well. She's going to Hollywood and I have to see if she will make it.
