XOXO

I enjoyed Gossip Girl tonight. I also enjoyed the "string background"when Blaire and Serena was at a private party at Yale. I had to rewind it at least 3x. Oh Yes, It's MUSE...I loved it! It was perfect for the part, actually for THAT EPISODE! Here it is and Enjoy!

Family Night

The boys had a fun trip to Toys r Us
with their Los Abuelos.

Tonight for Family Night
JT gave us a very important lesson.
The Lesson was FD he said
Fire Drill!

With all the fires in the Valley, it was a
very insightful lesson.
He told us some key points:
  • A place to meet in case of fire or emergency.
we decided to meet by the tree in front of our house
  • Whatever you're doing stop and run outside, don't get anything not even your shoes if you don't have a shirt, don't grab one. Not even your purse Mommy
  • Once you're outside, do not go back inside the house.
  • Wait for the Firemen to tell us all CLEAR!
  • Even at Night the Firemen will kill the fire
  • Remember: Go down, slow and also when your shirt gets caught in fire
    go down and roll.

Jake was in charge of Treat and Games.
For the games he picked a game called "Hot and Cold"
They play this during singing time in primary.
The 'hider' will be in charge of hiding an object. Then the 'seeker' will look
for that object. And the rest will say HOT - if he's close to the object and COLD if
he's far from the object.
So Jake decided to use this one.

And yes, Jake loves Dinosaurs so much
so he decided to use this one.
Mommy: Err, Jake that Dino is so BIG! It will be hard to hide it
Jake: NO, it's not, you can hide him under the table in the Living room or the Hockey table
Paul and I tried so hard not to Laugh.
It was so cute.
For treat Jake picked his favorite Ice Cream.

What a fun family Night. We are so blessed to have wonderful kids
and the Gospel.

Get Well Soon

I got a call from my SIL yesterday after the Soccer match. My MIL who re-scheduled her Chemo for 3 weeks has not been feeling well lately. So, my 2 SIL's who are RN's decided to take my MIL to the hospital. She is now admitted at the hospital for some infection. The boys wrote her a card. And I will be sending this one for her. This is from Someecard.

We hope you feel better. We love you!

It is one of those days...AGAIN!

Yes, it is! Whatelse is new right? So here is the rundown of today's activit-ies!

SOCCER GAME:

I've missed J.T's last 2 games and today, my adrenaline erupted my veins and
I was pumped up.
J.T and his teammates started really nervous.
1 minute before Half time the other team scored a goal.
This is the first team that scored a goal and all the boys were
shocked and looked at the Coach,Asst Coach and
their parents.
at 2nd half they were ready to play.
Because I have missed 2 games, I cannot contain myself
I was cheering for them...
'take it...take it...take itttttttttttttttttttt!!!' (with high pitched voice)
I stood the whole game. Told Jake to sit on the chair
while Mommy cheers for the team. No, while a CRAZY MOM
cheers for the team.
C-R-A-Z-Y!
The game ended with a 4-1. WIN

CRAFTY MOMS

After the game, I went to "L or Luisa's" Halloween Party.
We learned how to make Halloween treat jars and
Trick or Treat blocks. It was a lot of fun.
We all had a blast!
Thanks for the fun party - L,
you should do it again next year =).
I'm sorry I had to leave so early,
I am not being anti-social, I just had to finish
some errands.

Thanks Luisa
for re-touching my "r's"

Twilight HD Exclusive Trailer

What's the Buzz?

So, On my way inside the Hospital I heard a bunch of Nurses from the Night Shift talking about the "In and Out's" Anniversary. They were all saying, how it will be so packed, the lines will be very, very long. Around 9-1sh or so, I was in AOU (Acute Observation Unit) when a bunch of Nurses talking how it is just a Rumor. ( I should have checked their website before posting on my blog, sorry) It reached on every floor and every Nurses station. It finally got to our Rehab Dept. Yeah, it was just your typical word on the street. Everyone was BUMMED! You can't beat a 25-30 cents Hamburger!

Then, moments later we got another flyer posted on our department and everywhere at the hospital that we all are getting a FREE!!! IN and Out Burgers! as a reward for taking the Employee Survey. Everyone were happy again (which we get this annually) I told this to my friend Karen-->I am just wondering, I have worked in 5 hospitals and Hospital workers are always happy when they get Free Food....Seriously! Well, I guess it just shows that they(patients) were just Grateful for their(hospital workers) services.

Mark your calendars

At work today there were flyers in every department about IN N OUT'S 60th Anniversary.
All hamburgers will be sold for 25 cents, Cheeseburgers 30 cents, Fries 15 cents, and drinks are 10 cents!!! So, start biking, running and working out to burn the calories. Better yet, run to IN N OUT!

Camping Anyone?

I have never worked on a Sunday where I was the only P.T in the the Dept. But today, I was the only person in the dept. IT FREAKED ME OUT! Especially working in a hospital. The good thing is we only see Orthopedic patients on Sundays, which made the day go by fast. On Sundays, other than going to Church and just chillin with the fam, we also enjoy watching family videos. When I got home today, they just barely started watching the "Cousins Camping Video" that my FIL ( Father-in-law) made.

The cousins getting ready

Every year, Paul's family goes camping during the Summer for 5 days! This year they went camping near Bear Lake in Idaho/Utah, boating, water skiing, and wake boarding.

Matt Water skiing

Andy Wake boarding

The boys know that I am not a "Camper" and when they saw their cousins, they were so SAD! And they asked too many questions....
  • Why are we not invited?
  • Why didn't we go Camping?
  • Why...this...Why that...WHY...WHY...WHY?????
I looked at Paul so he can explain to them. Of course they do not accept...
  1. That we were saving our Vacation Days for my family who are coming this fall for vacay.
  2. That we need to save $$$ to travel
  3. That Daddy and Mommy cannot just go on vacay just like that!
They did not stop asking questions while watching the video. So, I offered a DEAL. We can go to UT next summer either go Camping OR Boating with them..YIKES Then Paul said or maybe BOTH! BUT, we have to wait and see what they are planning next yr. Then it is a DEAL.

What have I done?

A week before school started, we received a packet from JT's school with all the information for this school year. From the menu to PTA, what to expect this year, to calendar schedule. Also one of the forms asking for volunteers to be the "Room Representative" or "Room Mom"
  • They are liaisons between the teacher and the rest of the parents in the class.
  • They are responsible for coordinating parties, Halloween, Winter Parties, Valentine's Day,Teacher Appreciation Week, End of Year parties, and do a birthday party for the teacher and assistant, getting the teacher gifts, coordinating field trip volunteers, etc.
  • It's separate from helping out in the classroom with prep work, etc.
So, I decided to turn in the paper this week, since it has been a month since school started and I am sure the teacher already has a Room Mom...WRONG!... She was so happy. She said nobody turned in the form but ME! .. YIKES! As if I don't have enough on my plate already.
  • I work part time
  • I volunteer at Jake's school, read books to the kids, do crafts, I help with field trips and events at the pre school.
  • I also volunteer at JT's school, filing papers, cutting this, putting forms in the kids' cubbies, read books to them, sharing time.
  • Oh yeah, I am also in charge of planning activities for the Sisters in our Church (Enrichment Leader).
I guess this will fulfill my dreams of being an Event Planner....Yeah right!

I know there are bumper stickers for "College Parents" , "Soccer Moms" and "Hockey Moms". So, I was wondering are there any bumper stickers for "Room Moms"?

Oweee

What a day today, I was in ICU when I got a call from Jake's pre-school. Hearing the Director's voice alarmed me. Even though she sounded Calm I was terrified that something happened to Jake. (who wouldn't) Sure enough, Jacob was going down the slide when he hit his chin on his friends head then accidentally bit his tongue OUCH! She said the bleeding stopped but...before she finished I told her, I am on my way.

Jake was sitting in her office, eyes swollen and his face was totally traumatized! I called his Pediatrician and told her what had happened since this is the first time that ever happened to the boys. She said not to take him in, the wound itself will heal and just give him cold drinks, food, etc. So we decided to go to Toys R Us. We were there for a good 1 1/2 hours. He was happy but not enthused at buying anything...???? Still traumatized from what happened. I told him we could have lunch together he said did not want to eat because it hurts, he said he will just eat at school. ???? We headed back to school from Toys R Us and I stayed there for 30 mins, until lunch time and he said "Mommy, pick me up after your work, OK?" If I was him, I will be like,"Mommy, let's go home, or go to Dland, or go to Chuck E Cheese" I will really remind him of this when he's in Middle School.

Then tonight after dinner while JT and Jake were playing (obviously, he's feeling better) J.T's loose bottom front tooth just popped out. And he was so HAPPY! BOYS???

Family Night

We cannot wait for Halloween. It is one of our favorite Holidays. Yes, there's Christmas, 4th of July and Thanksgiving. BUT this Holiday, the kids get to wear their costumes, we decorate our house with Halloween stuff, the orange colors, baking and cooking is so fun. Blah..blah..blah...

For Family Night, We played the family's favorite Thimble game and for our activity we baked this Boo-licious brownies, frosted and painted (edible watercolors) them. Ohhh, they loved it. JT decorated his with ghost and wrote BOO, and Jake colored one brownie with blue and green colors and the other one with spider. They loved it so much, they ate 2 each, Paul and I just had 1 we do not need the extra calories. As always after FHE night we all had Sugar Rush! We enjoyed our read-a-thon before bedtime, once the rush was gone. We hit the sack.

Jake's masterpiece
J.T's masterpiece
