The New face of L.V

The new face of Louis Vuitton.....

Vamp-tastic

Shauna, Diane and her sister, Alyssa and her friends and I watched Twilight tonight. Yes..I watched it again. Angie, you are so right! The second time is even better. I am not as critical as I was when I first watched it. My brain cells were more relaxed and the Anticipation was not that intense. So, for those of you who weren't sure if you liked it or heard some bad reviews SUCK IT UP. Dish out another $11.00 and see it again. You won’t be disappointed. It was worth my $22. And I plan to go AGAIN. How many times did I watch SATC?
If you go into the movie with an open mind, you will enjoy it!

And there will be Books 2 and 3 lined up. I can't wait to see the Vamps and the Pack meet.

Icing on the Cake

Today was the last day of Soccer. All these kids were so good. They have the best team in U8 this year. They have the Best Team work, Coach, Assist. Coach and most of all the players. The number 1 fans - the parents were so awesome. The team was undefeated! What a great year. Only 8 goals out of 12 games were allowed by the team. They were so good.

Today, Paul was player of the game since all of the kids had won already. We were all stoked! JT and Jake especially. "My Daddy, My Daddy he is the player of the game".

We will miss everyone. Most of the team are moving up to U10 next season.

2-4-6-8 who do we appreciate
GOOOOOOO TERMINATORS!!!!!

The fans:
Jake and I

Coach Tim and Coach Paul

The parents dumped lemonade on Coach Tim, then he said
" I need to Coach U10 after this game"...OPPPSSSSS....Thanks again Coach

Cullenized

When I finished reading Book 4 in September, the next day I could not talk to anyone. None of my co-workers or friends ever read the series. I waited until 2pm and called Tara and told her everything! Because I was sooo CULLENIZED, I asked GG, Trish,Maria and Michelle---> my co-workers to read Twilight so I can talk to them while at work. I finally lend the book to GG and she loved it and the word just passed around. Of course we talk about work-related issues and talk about non-related issues during break. From 1 P.T and now it grew to 5 P.T's, Rehab Admin. and Pharmacist and a couple of RN's. We cannot get enough talking of The Series.

After we had a Staff Meeting on Tuesday the Rehab Manager joined our conversation and mentioned that his Girlfriend is reading it too. Anyways, I saw this online, and I just remembered that this is totally US when we see each other at work....Trish talked to me today and said "Oh BTW, I want to tell you something really quick about this patient...then ...(sound more enthused) "BTW, did you read about Edward and Bella".....H-I-L-A-R-I-O-U-S. Or Trish and I were talking at the nurse's station then Kristi walking up to us an noticed we were smiling and giggling and said " I know what you guys are talking about". LOL!!!
I would also talk to my friends and this is the Stats of our conversation.

I wonder how long will this feeling of being Cullenized will end?

When I got back to work from UT last month this is what I had on my computer.

Nancy received the Twilight series from Maria
for her Birthday on Nov.8

I gave her a Birthday Cake

Hmmmm....I wonder if Trish is keeping up with her productive at work and not just reading Twilight articles =)

Seriously, we take care of our patients and talk about patients, and we cannot wait til 12 noon strikes and go down in the office to do our documentation
and have our lunch breaks
and talk about this freakin addiction.

Twilight-aholic

Nancy from work asked me if I am excited, I told her that I am so sick to my stomach and that my veins are ready to pop with excitement. It’s like preparing for a race. So if you have not seen the movie. SPOILER ALERT!!! I am not a Movie Critic like anyone else, but I just had to tell you how I felt about the movie. I kept my expectations very low, Paul told me to Keep my feet on the ground because the Book is always better than the Movie. And we all know that you cannot make a 500 page book into a 2 hour movie, seriously I could go for another hour. =)

Denise and I enjoyed the movie. We stood in line and were surprised how many twi-hards were there ALREADY!!!. It was cold but thanks to Starbucks HotCocoa and the theater manager that let us in early.

There were twi-hards who wore shirts. NO, I did not wear any of the Team Edward or Team Jacob shirts or Twilight Shirts.

One of Team Jacob's fan
this is by far the Best Originality
I have seen tonight.
The Front says "Imprint me Jacob"

I will have to leave that up to the Teens and Teens at heart =). Some fang-girls even had tattoos, click here. The fans screamed when we entered the theater, they screamed when the movie started like when TWILIGHT flashed on the screen.

To Break it down:
• Rob Pattinson was not the Edward in my head. I am sure you all would totally agree with that. I have watched videos and trailers and interviews many many times. Seen some pics, he is not near the Edward Cullen that I’ve envisioned. BUT, he did a good job in the movie, I really have to give him credit for that. It is very hard to play a non-HUMAN ROLE. What a superb job. “that Bony structure and wavy hair”. He has some pretty SHMEXY ( Smoking, Hot and Sexy ) moments in the movie “the crooked smile”. Yeah…. THAT! From The moment he entered the Cafeteria to the Hospital Scene and when he smiled and tried to listen to Mike Newton’s thoughts, Oh and many more! So, there were screams and cheers when Robert Pattinson enters the high school cafeteria. He had that sensitive but dangerous and Angst-driven look as Edward Cullen.
• Kristen Stewart ---she was beautiful as Bella, her acting at first was BLAH!! Lifeless. But I had to remember, that is Bella Swan. Then as the movie progressed she became more impressive. Very realistic. Her facial expression says everything and I enjoyed the “clumsiness here and there".
• The Human Friends – They were cast perfectly.
• They also picked Charlie really well. He was very believeable. He did a very awesome job too as Chief Charlie. He was very funny and just how I pictured him.
• Charlie’s house, Bella’s bedroom.
• The Cafeteria Scene--- and outright cackles and laughter erupted when Edward first appears...The Baseball and Ballet (Fight)Scene LOVED IT!!!!!
• Peter Facinelli as always very Hot, perfect Dr. Carlisle. Not a fan of the Blonde hair but acting was very believable. Elizabeth Reaser, both were lovely as the parent, but did not get much screen time.
• Jasper was Cute and he delivered being tortured “always in pain” and friendly. I loved the baseball scene. He is Left handed. I noticed it when he batted and stood on the R side of the umpire. Not that it matters but it’s just interesting. .
• Alice was brilliant, she had little screen time as she was one of my favorite characters in the book.
• Emmett met my expectations as the big brother teddy bear. I cannot wait to see him more on Books 3 and 4 where he had to exhibit his strength and danger.
• Rosalie…Rosalie…Rosalie…..She was probably the next hardest one to cast next to Edward. In the book she was described as very beautiful and gorgeous. I know it is hard to compare…Ok..ok…..I was pleased with her as Rosalie. The whole despise thing she had for Bella. I enjoyed it, she did a very fine job. I just did not like the blond hair for her. I’m sorry.
• What a cute Jacob. He did very well even though he had short parts in the movie. I enjoyed the “wolves decent”
• The Nomads..Uh-huh. James was so much fun and sexy. Victoria – really good and Laurent they were all very chilling to watch. I loved it when Laurent said “Please do not play with our food”
• The soundtrack was perfection. I did not like Rob Pattz’ song at first but then totally fell in love with the right parts of the movie.

NEXT......as we all know any kind of book made to be a movie is not going to be perfect. Here are a few things I think would have made it better.
1. Because of the LOW BUDGET, the movie was developed too quickly they left out so many important things,
Because the book was so detailed. Fans want it to be detailed.
  • Rosalie's car in the book was a BMW and not a Mercedes.
• Carlisle's history with the Volturi, it would also be nice to see the Cullens abilities.
• Edward lending his jacket to Bella. That just shows he was very gentleman. And also her scent is totally stuck on his jacket. Did that make sense?
• Bella not saying "you dazzle me" or "I'm betting on Alice".
• Edward hates her….then he was gone….came back then totally “In love for her”.
• Whatever happened to the whole Edward and Bella courting, the waiting outside the class, the parking lot, it’s just too quick.
• The meadow – they should have Bella narrate about her feelings for Edward or their courtship???while there was music playing in the background
• Prom – Bella’s prom dress, why did Alice lend that, why did she wear Blue (it’s edward’s favorite color) That would have been more screen time for Alice too. =)
• It would have been nice to see the rest of the Cullens go to the Prom too. Like Alice’s and Rosalie’s dresses.

Having said all these things----I loved the movie, very entertaining. I JUST WANTED MORE!!! After the Baseball scene, I knew it will end soon., and I wanted for more. If you consider yourself a REAL TWI-FAN, or TWILIGHT-AHOLIC you will LOVE it despite the many BUT’s….just because it IS TWILIGHT..

I better end this post before Breaking Dawn arrives.I am so wired up, I need to sleep. I have to wake up in 2 hours and go to work.

Soccer Party

Tonight was Paul and J.T's soccer team's Award Ceremony at Pizza hut. The boys ate and played and received a medal and a trophy. Thank you Parents, Coaches and of course the players.

Coach Tim - JT - Coach Paul

Hot Asst. Coach
The parents gave Paul a Thank you card and a
gift card.
We love you Coach Paul you are the best !

Telephone Etiquette

I was taught growing up to have Good Telephone Etiquette. Now, working at a hospital they constantly remind us how to answer the phone, how to talk to patients, family members, Doctors and other colleagues. Of course now that I am a Mom, I am trying my best to set a good example for my boys. It does not matter if you are a Supervisor, a Manager, an owner, a student, a stay at home Mom or just-because-the-person-on-the-other-line-has-an-accent. BUT, if you work for a company and you are what you say A CUSTOMER SERVICE and also A MANAGER who works for that company and DO NOT HAVE TELEPHONE ETIQUETTE? I think you should consider looking for another job or going to a class. What happened to being calm, diplomatic and polite OR Showing willingness to solve the problem -->Shouldn't you be doing that as a "CUSTOMER SERVICE and a MANAGER?", instead of talking to me in a very CONDESCENDING VOICE/TONE....tsk..tsk...Rude! Simply RUDENESS!

Hoop it up

We traveled up the coast to Malibu to watch the BYU and Pepperdine Basketball Game. It was very relaxing and fun. No crazy people. Boys were good, it was not that “packed”. Really, really nice, BYU won ! We saw Trent Plaisted in the crowd who happens to be Alison's brother. Paul and I got to talk to the other BYU fans. When they were talking about "Where is Woodland Hills or How far is Woodland Hills from Malibu? I knew they were either visiting or students. They turned out to be in Law School at Pepperdine. Apparently lots of BYU undergrads study Law at Pepperdine University. Of course the highlight of our conversation was when they talked about "TWilight" ahhhhh.

Up Close and Personal with Twilight Stars

Since Michelle and Kayla are in town, they decided to go to Westwood tonight and watch the stars arrival at the Twilight Premiere. We texted back and forth all day today at work. I was not really planning on going but they told me they have good spot and they were literally 2 feet away from the KIIS FM stage. I told them, to just have fun. I just don't feel like going. I picked up the boys from school and I thought about it. At 430 pm, I finally decided that I am going. WHY NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So I did. My wonderful husband Paul and the boys were so excited for me. You guys ROCK!

Kayla,Michelle and I
Behind us is Bella being interviewed by INsider

Went shopping at Century City after
and we saw this outside the GAP STORE...
I told Kayla, I need a break from these Vampires!

And here is what SM's website had to say about the film, I am sure you've read about it.

Will so-called "Twi-Hards" scream, laugh, squeal, giggle, and swoon (not necessarily in that order)? Definitely—and the chosen order will probably be repeated several times. Maybe a better question (especially for those of you who might be afraid to bring your boyfriend/husband) is if people who haven't read the book will like the movie? I say "yes". It is not uncommon for someone to feel like they don't have the time or the attention span to read a 500 page book. But, the core story of Twilight has been brilliantly preserved in the two-hour time period, and there is no reason to think that just because someone isn't an avid reader they won't enjoy a great story. Also, just like in the Stephenie's book, there is a good amount of both action and comic relief (enough even to entertain those who are "too manly" for a love story).
